  • FOR THE "PANCAKE":
  • 1 cup All-purpose Flour
  • 3 Tablespoons Granulated Sugar
  • 1-½ teaspoon Baking Powder
  • ½ teaspoons Kosher Salt
  • ¾ cups Whole Milk
  • 1 whole Egg
  • 2 Tablespoons Unsalted Butter, melted
  • 1 Tablespoon Unsalted Butter To Melt In Pan
  • 1 cup Dark Chocolate Chips
  • Confectioners Sugar,garnish
  • FOR THE WHIPPED CREAM:
  • 1-½ cup Whipping Cream
  • 1 Tablespoon Granulated Sugar
  • 2 teaspoons Kahlua (coffee Liqueur)

Preparation

For the pancake skillet:
Preheat oven to 375 F. Place a 10-inch cast iron skillet into the oven and let it preheat for about 5 minutes.

Meanwhile, whisk together flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, salt, milk, egg and the melted butter.

Remove skillet from oven, add the second amount of butter into the pan and tilt pan to coat. Then add the batter and spread it evenly with a spatula. Place chocolate chips on top. Bake in the oven for about 20 to 25 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from oven.

Cool slightly before dusting with confectioners’ sugar and dollop Kahlua whipped cream on top.

For the Kahlua whipped cream:
In the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with a whisk attachment, whisk whipping cream, sugar, and Kahlua until soft peaks form.

Pancake skillet slightly adapted from Martha Stewart.
