What a great idea. I often make steelcut oats on the stove and keep them in the fridge for breakfasts during the week, but I love the idea of it being fresh and hot when I wake up. Thanks for the great idea.

This is on my list to try. You rarely ever see the words “healthy” and “southern cooking” in the same sentence, so I am looking forward to learning to eat healthier with your recipes.

I think there is too much cinnamon in this recipe.

I love steel cut oats and this made it so easy to make a batch for the whole week! I didn’t see the advice about the oil and had a major sticky mess in my crockpot. I just set up my oats for tomorrow morning and hope using the oil helped!

I made this last night and loved waking up to a ready breakfast. I went exactly by your recipe. Very good and so simple to prepare. My husband put milk on his and I will admit to putting a little bit of maple syrup on mine. I may try spraying a little bit of Pam in the bottom of the crockpot, and I will definitely double the recipe so that I can have some the next couple of days.
Thank you.
