Description

This meal is one of those easy-to-make meals that is great for leftovers. Don’t want ham? Use turkey instead! We’re always mixing it up. Don’t like meat? Throw in vegetables! The perfect quiche for those that claim to not like quiche.

Ingredients

  • 1-½ cup Deli Ham, Sliced
  • 1 cup Shredded Swiss Cheese
  • ¼ cups Chopped Green Onions
  • ½ cups Unbleached White Or Wheat Flour
  • ¾ teaspoons Baking Powder
  • ⅛ teaspoons Salt
  • 2 whole Eggs
  • 1 whole Sliced Green Bell Pepper (optional)
  • ½ cups Milk
  • 1 whole Whole Wheat Pie Crust

Preparation

In a mixing bowl, stir all ingredients (except pie crust) together until well incorporated and well mixed. Pour ingredients into the pie pan and cook at 400 degrees for 35 minutes or until the top of the quiche is lightly browned.

I made this last night. I thought it was a little dry, so I might make it again and only use a 1/4 cup flour and maybe some more milk. I put four eggs in, since two didn’t seem like very many for quiche. I also used some green pepper and not a whole lot of green onion; 1/4 cup seemed excessive.

This was so easy to make… I made this for my family and they loved it! This is definitely perfect for people like me who work late and are often short on time to cook. I will definitely make this again.

I’ve never made one of these, but they look good. I hope I can try yours soon!
