Description

Simple ingredients combine in these deviled eggs to make an egg with a kick!

Ingredients

  • 6 whole Eggs
  • ¼ cups Mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon Mustard
  • 1 teaspoon Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 1 pinch Paprika

Preparation

Hard boil the eggs. When they’re done, shell them and slice them in half. Lay the halves on a large dinner plate. Carefully remove the yolks and put them in a mixing bowl. Using a fork, mash the yolks until they are broken up. Some people like chunks, some don’t—it’s up to you.

After removing all the yolks, add the mayo, mustard, and vinegar. I sometimes add a tiny bit more vinegar and/or mustard. Taste and see what you like. Stir it all together. Once combined, use a spoon to scoop the mixture back into the empty egg halves.

(If you want to get really fancy, you can put the mixture in a piping bag and pipe it into the eggs.)

Lightly dust the tops of the eggs with paprika.

These eggs are simple to make and so delicious!

Forgot to say this is basically like what I and my family have been making for as long as I can remember. They are so good and I like a small amount of texture in the yoke mixture. Does my hart goo to see young folks cooking from scratch. You are right these are the best.

I have never eaten a Deviled Egg with out vinegar. Sometime I put both vinegar and dill pickle juice.

I’m curious, what does the vinegar do here? I’m a huge deviled eggs fan and I’ve never used it before.
