Description

Yummy combination of breakfast favorites in a deep-dish “pizza” style. Can be made lower fat/calorie by substituting turkey bacon & turkey sausage. Can be made the night before.

Ingredients

  • 1 package Pillsbury Crescent Rolls [8 Oz]
  • 1 pound Ground Pork Sausage
  • 5 slices Bacon
  • 1 cup Shredded Hash Browns, Thawed
  • 1 can Mushrooms, Drained [4 Oz]
  • 1 cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese
  • 1 cup Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
  • 5 whole Eggs
  • ¼ cups Milk Or Half-and-Half
  • 2 Tablespoons Grated Parmesan Cheese

Preparation

- Lightly spray bottom & sides of 9×13 casserole dish with pan spray;

– Press Crescent rolls on bottom and up sides of dish. Set aside;

– Brown Sausage, and drain fat;

– Fry Bacon until crisp, and blot off fat; cut or crumble into bite-size pieces;

– Layer Sausage, Hash Browns, Mushrooms, Bacon, Cheddar & Mozzarella Cheeses on top of the Crescent Roll dough;

– In a separate bowl, beat the Eggs and Milk or Half & Half together. Pour Egg mixture evenly over the top of the other ingredients.

– Sprinkle with Grated Parmesan Cheese.

– Bake in 350 degree oven for 30-35 minutes.

OR

– Cover tightly with plastic wrap & refrigerate overnight. Remove from refrigerator about 15-20 minutes before placing in the preheated oven at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes.

I ended up using 2 packages of Crescent rolls to completely cover the 9×13 pan. Slightly sauted green onion, fresh mushrooms and the hash browns before baking. Only had Swiss and Monterey Jack cheese … YUM!!
