Description

This is so delicious it tastes like eating an oatmeal cookie for breakfast—and no one will fuss!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups Quick Cooking Oats
  • ⅓ cups Sweetener Of Choice (brown Sugar, Honey, Maple Syrup)
  • 1-½ teaspoon Baking Powder
  • ½ teaspoons Salt
  • ½ teaspoons Cinnamon
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 2 whole Eggs
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla
  • 2 Tablespoons Oil
  • Milk Or Maple Syrup For Serving

Preparation

In a large bowl, combine the oats, brown sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon. Combine the milk, eggs, vanilla, and oil in a small bowl. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients. Stir well until blended. Let stand 5 minutes to absorb moisture.

Pour into a greased 8-inch baking dish. Bake at 350ºF for 30 minutes or until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.

Cut into squares and serve with milk or syrup.

This was really good, and I like how healthy the recipe is. Both husband and son scarfed this stuff, so it will be a regular breakfast item in our house!

This was fantastic…I realized half way in that I didn’t have any milk (thanks boys!) but instead of scrapping it I tried it with water….it was AMAZING! I like that it only calls for a small amount of oil (I used olive oil). This will be made weekly at our house…my 2 year old son ate his entire portion and then asked me if there was any more lol.
