Description

A different and delicious take on ordinary French toast! These sandwiches are stuffed with ham, mozzarella cheese and topped off with your favorite kind of jam! Delish!

Ingredients

  • 8 slices Texas Toast Or French Bread
  • ½ pounds Honey Ham, Thinly Sliced
  • 4 slices Mozzarella Cheese
  • 2 whole Eggs, Beaten
  • ¼ cups Milk
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 1 cup Raspberry Or Strawberry Jam

Preparation

Preheat a large skillet or griddle to medium-high heat. Spray with cooking spray. Preheat oven to 200 F.

Lay out 4 pieces of the bread. Layer each piece of bread with several slices of honey ham and one piece of mozzarella cheese. Top each with another piece of bread.

In a medium-sized bowl, mix together eggs, milk and vanilla extract. Holding each sandwich on both sides (so filling won’t fall out), dip each sandwich into the egg mixture. Once the first side is dipped, dip on the other side.

Cook one sandwich at a time on the hot skillet. Cook for 2-3 minutes or until golden brown on one side, then flip it over and cook for another 2-3 minutes until that side is golden.

(To keep sandwiches warm, place the cooked sandwiches on a cookie sheet and place the sheet in a preheated 200 F oven while you make the other sandwiches.)

Serve each French toast sandwich with a drizzle of jam over the top! Enjoy!
