Make this special breakfast treat when you have a house full of guests. The heavenly aroma emanating from the kitchen will drive them bananas. Great warm, but it’s also great cooled to room temperature and sliced for an easy grab-and-go snack.
Recipe makes one 8×8-square pan or one deep dish pie plate.
Preheat oven to 350 F and spray baking pan with non-stick spray.
In a large bowl, combine all of the oatmeal ingredients except the oats. Whisk to combine, making sure there are no cocoa powder lumps. Stir in the oats and pour into the prepared baking dish. Place dish on a sheet pan and bake in oven for 45 minutes. Eat warm or cool to room temperature and garnish as directed below.
To garnish the cool oatmeal, whip heavy cream with sugar to stiff peaks. Use a pastry bag fitted with a star tip to pipe a decorative border of whipped cream around the top of the oatmeal. Evenly distribute sliced bananas and chocolate curls on top of whipped cream. Refrigerate leftovers.

Easy breakfast sandwich you just cook in the broiler in a few minutes! Also great on a whole grain bagel.
