Description

This is a yummy alternative to fruit salad! All fruit is optional and interchangeable with other fruits not listed. Change it up according to your family’s taste! I like to serve this with an egg casserole when we have company.

Ingredients

  • 1 can Frozen Orange Juice Concentrate
  • 3 cups Water
  • 1-¼ cup Sugar
  • 1 can Crushed Pineapple, Undrained
  • 1 can Mandarin Oranges, Undrained
  • 1 quart Peaches, Undrained*
  • 6 whole Bananas, Sliced Thin

Preparation

Dissolve sugar in water and thawed orange juice concentrate. Add fruit, along with all fruit juice/syrups. Pour into a 9×13 cake pan or pretty glass bowl. Freeze for 6 hours or overnight. Remove from freezer 1 hour before serving.

* If you have teeth sensitive to cold like I do, make sure to cut fruit into small pieces.

I loved this…and made it for a New Years breakfast – I overnighted by friends, and I made an asparagus strata with this slush on the side. I had so much left over I had packaged it in my freezer. This was fabulous as a frozen dessert…and really made me feel better when I got sick and was looking for some vitamin C…I’m going to make some more so I can have it on hand at all times!
