Description

Whole wheat never tasted so delicious. The perfect combination!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Whole Wheat Flour
  • 1 cup All-purpose Flour
  • ½ cups Sugar
  • ½ cups Brown Sugar
  • ½ teaspoons Baking Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
  • ½ teaspoons Nutmeg
  • 1 Tablespoon Cinnamon
  • 1 cup Pumpkin Puree
  • ⅓ cups Water
  • ½ cups Applesauce
  • 2 whole Eggs, Beaten
  • ¼ cups Mini Chocolate Chips

Preparation

1) Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Prepare muffin tin – lightly grease or use muffin cups.
2) In a big bowl, combine all dry ingredients. Make sure to combine well (get out any lumps that you might have in the brown sugar).
3) In a smaller bowl, combine all the wet ingredients well, then pour into dry ingredients. Mix well and then fold in the chocolate chips.
4) Divide evenly between muffin cups. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in comes out clean.
5) Let cool for a few minutes…or for however long you can wait!

Who can say no to pumpkin..and chocolate..and healthy muffins?! I added ground flax (as I do to all muffins) and they were very tasty.
