Description

Tastes better than the stuff that comes in a box!

Ingredients

  • 1 loaf French Bread
  • 3 Tablespoons Parsley Flakes
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder, Or 1 Crushed Clove
  • 1-½ teaspoon Poultry Seasoning (or Just Sage)
  • 1-½ teaspoon Chicken Bouillon
  • ½ teaspoons Black Pepper
  • ¼ whole Onion, Minced
  • 2 Tablespoons Olive Oil

Preparation

Slice the bread into small cubes and toast in a roasting pan at 300 degrees for 45 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes. Approximately halfway through baking, stir in the seasonings and onion, and drizzle with olive oil. (The seasonings/onion will burn if you bake them the whole time.) When the bread cubes are dry and toasty, remove from the oven and cool. Seal and store at room temperature.

To prepare a crunchy topping for a casserole, use 4 cups bread cubes, 1/4 cup melted margarine, and 1/4 cup water. Toss together and spread on top.

For serving as a side stuffing dish, use 4 cups bread cubes, 1/4 cup margarine, and 1 cup water.
