Spicy, garlicky, and buttery – these Old Bay croutons are perfect for any meal. If you get addicted, don’t say I didn’t warn you!
Preheat oven to 300F.
Slice the bread into crouton-sized pieces. (What constitutes crouton size? Probably about 3/4 of an inch or so). Place bread in a large bowl.
In a smaller bowl whisk together the butter, garlic powder, Old Bay, and salt. Pour this mixture evenly over the bread cubes (you might need to use a spatula). Using your hands toss the bread in the spice mixture until evenly coated.
Dump the mixture onto a parchment paper lined or greased baking sheet and bake at 300F for 15 minutes. Then flip, and bake for another 10-15 minutes until the bread pieces are turning a slight golden brown. Then remove from oven and lLet cool completely before storing in an air-tight plastic bag or container.
