Description

Sour Cream Chocolate Chip Muffins that will melt in your mouth!

Ingredients

  • 1-½ cup All-purpose Flour
  • ⅔ cups Sugar
  • ¾ teaspoons Baking Powder
  • ¾ teaspoons Baking Soda
  • ¼ teaspoons Salt
  • 1 whole Egg
  • 1 cup Sour Cream
  • 5 Tablespoons Unsalted Butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 1 cup Simi-sweet Chocoate Chips

Preparation

1. Preheat the oven to 350ºF.
2. Mix together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
3. In another bowl, combine the egg, sour cream, melted butter, and vanilla extract, mixing well.
4. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
5. Gently add in the chocolate chips until thoroughly combined.
6. Evenly divide the batter among the prepared cupcake liners so that the liners are about 3/4 full.
7. Bake until a tester inserted into the center of the muffins comes out clean, about 16-18 minutes.

Ok we’ve really making making this loads but had to comment again :) We were having company and the only ingredients I had on hand were to make these muffins well I needed more than 12 muffins, I was in a hurry and I was feeling lazy :) so I threw the batter into a 9×13 pan and made it a cake. I changed the bake time to about 25min. Then I sprinkled it with powdered sugar when cooled! It was gobbled up and loved by all!

We’ve made these a few times when we were really craving cake and chocolate :) quick and easy! and oh so yummy!

I’ve used this recipe from a different blog and they’re sooo good! I used mini chips though.

Yum! I made this into mini loaves instead of muffins and it tastes just like chocolate chip cookies.
