Description

So quick, easy, and delicious, you’ll never buy a box of Jiffy mix again!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup All-purpose Flour
  • 1 cup Corn Meal
  • ¼ cups Granulated White Sugar
  • ¼ cups Brown Sugar, Packed
  • 3-½ teaspoons Baking Powder
  • 1 whole Egg
  • 1 cup Milk
  • ¼ cups Canola Oil
  • 1-½ teaspoon Salt

Preparation

Preheat oven to 400°F. Grease an 8″x8″ pan or place liners in a muffin tin. In a large bowl, combine all ingredients and whisk together. Pour into the greased pan. If making muffins, fill each muffin cup just over halfway.

Bake 25-30 minutes until top of cornbread is golden brown or until toothpick comes out clean. (For muffins, check at 20 minutes.)

Serve with butter or drizzled with honey.

My bad just saw the baking powder. My twin Grandson’s love bread of all kinds. They will love this.

This sounds very good just one qustion. Do you use self rising corn meal? Can’t wait to try this.
