Description

A different twist on a holiday staple.

Ingredients

  • 1-½ cup Sugar
  • ½ cups Vegetable Oil
  • 2  Eggs
  • ⅓ cups Water
  • 7-½ ounces, weight Pumpkin Puree
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Ginger
  • ½ teaspoons Ground Allspice
  • ½ teaspoons Grond Cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoons Ground Cloves
  • 1-¾ cup All-purpose Flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
  • ¾ teaspoons Salt
  • ¼ teaspoons Baking Powder
  • ½ cups Pecans, Chopped And Toasted

Preparation

1. Preheat oven to 350 F. Lightly grease a 9 x 5-inch loaf pan.
2. In a large bowl, combine sugar, oil and eggs; beat until smooth. Add water and beat until smooth. Stir in pumpkin, ginger, allspice, cinnamon and cloves.
3. In a small bowl combine flour, baking soda, salt, baking powder and pecans. Add dry mixture into pumpkin mixture and blend just until mixed. Pour into prepared loaf pan.
4. Bake in preheated oven until a toothpick inserted into the center of the loaf comes out clean, about 50-60 minutes. Cool for 10 minutes in pan and then take it out of the pan and cool completely on a wire rack.
