Preheat oven to 425ºF.
In a medium bowl, combine whole wheat flour, flour, baking powder, salt and sugar.
In another bowl, combine yogurt, milk and vanilla.
Mix wet ingredients into dry just until combined. Gently fold in pears and dates.
Turn onto Silpat mat or parchment-lined baking sheet. Form dough into a circle, making sure dough is about 1″ thick. Cut into an ‘x’ followed by a ‘+’ shape to form 8 pieces. Pull dough pieces away from each other slightly.
Bake for 14-16 minutes until scones have cooked through. Serve warm with your favorite jam.
