Description

A classic banana bread with the addition of peanut butter and milk chocolate chips.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1 stick Unsalted Butter, Room Temperature
  • 2 whole Eggs, Room Temperature
  • 3 whole Very Ripe Bananas, Peeled
  • 2 cups All-purpose Flour
  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 4 Tablespoons Peanut Butter
  • ½ cups Milk Chocolate Chips, Plus A Few Additional For Garnish

Preparation

Preheat your oven to 325ºF.

Cream the sugar and butter in a large mixing bowl until light and fluffy. Blend in the eggs one at a time, followed by the bananas.

Combine dry ingredients (flour through salt) in a smaller bowl. Add the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients and mix until just incorporated. Fold in the peanut butter and chocolate chips.

Spoon the batter into a buttered standard size (9×5 or similar) loaf pan, sprinkle with some additional chocolate chips and bake for 40-50 minutes.

Best served cut in slices for breakfast and spread with a little butter or honey.
