Description

These are always a huge hit. People usually eat them until the pain of a full tummy makes them stop. They are that good.

Ingredients

  • 1 Tablespoon Yeast
  • 1-½ cup Warm Water
  • 2 Tablespoons Sugar
  • 3 cups Flour
  • ½ teaspoons Salt
  • 1 stick Butter, Melted
  • Garlic Salt
  • Parmesan Cheese

Preparation

Dissolve yeast in water and add sugar.

Make dough with yeast mixture, flour and salt. Knead for 3 minutes on floured surface. Let rest for 10 minutes.

Melt butter and pour onto jelly roll pan. Tilt the pan so the butter pools at one end.

Roll out dough on floured surface to ½ inch thickness. Cut dough into strips, dip into butter and place on pan.

Sprinkle with garlic salt and Parmesan cheese before baking. Let rise till double, 10-20 minutes.

Bake at 375 for 20 minutes. Serve piping hot.

Easy and oh-so-delicious!! I made these because I didn’t have time to make a full loaf of bread to go with our broccoli soup. This was the perfect compliment! Even my 2- and 4-year-olds devoured them. Thanks for sharing what will now be a regular side in my house!
