Description

These biscuits are the ultimate in easy, yummy and beautiful. I’ve never tasted another biscuit like this. Seriously good!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups Flour
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 3 teaspoons Baking Powder
  • ¼ cups Sugar (less If You Want A Less-sweet Biscuit)
  • 4 Tablespoons Salted Butter
  • ⅔ cups Heavy Cream
  • 1 cup Buttermilk Or Whole Milk
  • 1 cup Flour
  • 2 Tablespoons Salted Butter, Melted

Preparation

Preheat oven to 450 F. In a large bowl combine the 2 cups flour, salt, baking powder and sugar. Work in the butter with your fingers or a pastry cutter until it is mixed in well. Stir in cream and milk. Let this mixture sit for 2-3 minutes. It will be alarmingly wet. Have no fear!

Pour the 1 cup flour into a pie dish. Take some of this flour into your hand and pour about 1/4 cup of biscuit dough into the flour in your hand. Sprinkle with more flour. Shape it roughly into a soft round, cradling it in your hand and gently shake off excess flour. It will feel like a water balloon.

Place biscuit into a buttered pie dish. Repeat with remaining dough, pushing the biscuits together as you work so they will rise up and not out. Brush biscuits with melted butter. Bake at 450 F for 15-20 minutes. These biscuits are so versatile! Enjoy!
