Description

These easy cinnamon rolls use crescent roll dough to speed up the process. May be put together the night before and then cooked in the morning. Warning: they don’t last long!!

Ingredients

  • 2 cans (8 Oz. Can) Refrigerated Crescent Rolls
  • 1 stick Butter, Softened
  • ½ cups Brown Sugar
  • 1-½ Tablespoon Sugar
  • 2 teaspoons Cinnamon
  • ⅓ cups Chopped Pecans
  • ⅔ cups Powdered Sugar
  • 1 Tablespoon Milk
  • ¼ teaspoons Almond Extract

Preparation

1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

2. Cream together butter, brown sugar, white sugar and cinnamon. Stir in pecans.

3. Unroll crescent rolls and separate each dough portion into four triangles. Pinch perforations together to seal.

4. Spread butter/sugar mixture over the dough and roll up like a jellyroll, starting at long end. Place in the freezer for ten minutes to harden. Slice each roll into six or eight pieces.

5. Spray the bottoms of two round cake pans with cooking spray and place pieces about 1/4″ apart.

6. Bake for 15 to 18 minutes until lightly brown. Cool for 5-10 minutes.

7. Stir together powdered sugar, milk and almond extract to make a glaze. Drizzle over cinnamon rolls.

Enjoy!

You will be absolutely amazed at how easily these cinnamon rolls come together and how incredibly delicious they are. Using crescent roll dough is the best kept secret in the whole world AND it guarantees perfect results every time. Making dough from scratch is often the most daunting part of baking breads and the easiest part to end up not quite right. Well no more. These rolls will come out gooey and delicious every time you make them. The pecans get perfectly toasted in the oven and add the most wonderful flavor. The toppings (brown sugar, nuts, cinnamon) are also super easy to adjust according to your personal taste buds. The rolls are equally delicious right out of the oven as they are the day after at room temperature or refrigerated…though very doubtful that they will last that long.

Your friends and family will love you more than they already do if you make these cinnamon rolls for them. Significant others will mourn the loss of these after a breakup. True story.
