Description

A hearty bread that is a perfect coupled with the savory soups of the season. Toast it and serve drizzled with more Agave or Honey… or serve plain, paired with your favorite soup.

Ingredients

  • 1-¼ cup Warm Tap Water
  • 3 Tablespoons Agave Nectar
  • 2 Tablespoons Butter, Softened
  • 2 cups Whole Wheat Flour
  • 1-½ cup White Bread Flour
  • ½ cups Slivered Almonds, Toasted
  • 1-½ teaspoon Salt
  • 1-¼ teaspoon Yeast

Preparation

Place all ingredients in bread machine in the order listed. Select bread type as “Whole Wheat”. Do not use Rapid Cycle. Choose “Large Loaf” and then start!

I’ve made this twice both turn out good, make sure you use bread machine flour. The first time I used all whole wheat flour (thats all I had) and the bread fell, but still tasted great. Second time I used bread machine flour and it turn out even better!

I love this bread! I’ve made it twice already, turns out great for sandwiches and for toast in the mornings with a little bit of jam. The almonds are so good, they give a nice little crunch!
