Description

It has a soft, buttery, deliciously cinnamon-y taste to it, and will make your mouth water as it bakes in the oven!

Ingredients

  • 3 cups Lukewarm Water
  • ¼ cups Honey
  • ¼ cups Oil
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 5-½ cups Wheat Flour
  • 1 envelope (1/4 Oz. Packet) Active Or Quick Rise Yeast
  • 5 Tablespoons Butter, Softened
  • 2-½ Tablespoons White Sugar
  • 1 cup Brown Sugar
  • 2-½ Tablespoons Cinnamon

Preparation

Add lukewarm water into a large bowl. Whisk in the honey, oil, and salt until blended. Add 1 cup of flour into the liquid mixture and whisk until smooth.

Now, spread 1 cup of flour over the surface of the water, and then spread the yeast over the surface of the flour. Mix together until blended with the other ingredients. Mix in the remaining flour until dough is formed.

Dump dough onto a floured surface and knead with your hands for 10 minutes. Then place inside a greased bowl and let it rest in a warm place for 1 hour.

Punch down dough and divide into 2 large chunks and 1 small chunk.

On a floured surface, roll out 1 portion of the dough and spread with some of the butter. Then, in the middle, add some of the white sugar in a straight line down the dough. Add some of the brown sugar and cinnamon next, sprinkling over the dough. Do the same thing with the other 2 dough chunks.

Roll up jelly-roll style, pinching the edges together. Place into 2 large greased bread pans and 1 small greased bread pan.

Cut 3 slits across the top of each bread and let rest in a warm place for 40-55 minutes. Bake in a preheated oven at 350ºF for 30 minutes.

Best served warm.
