Description

Simple, easy, homestyle!

Ingredients

  • 1-¾ cup Flour
  • 2-½ teaspoons Baking Powder
  • ¼ teaspoons Salt
  • ⅓ cups Butter, Softened
  • ¾ cups Buttermilk (can Also Use Milk)

Preparation

Preheat oven to 450.

Mix dry ingredients into bowl.

Cut softened butter into mixture with fork or pastry blender.

Add buttermilk gradually, kneading dough as you go along.

Knead until dough is the right consistency – add more buttermilk if it’s too dry, more flour if it’s too sticky.

Knead dough on floured surface, and either roll out and cut with cookie cutter into round shapes, or I like to tear them off by hand and place onto cookie sheet, makes them look more authentic!

Bake for 10 minutes until they look lightly browned.

These were fantastic…I loved the fact that they used butter instead of crisco! We had these for breakfast with honey drizzled over them and everyone wanted “just one more.” =) Thanks for sharing!

These were quite good — not perfect, but that’s probably because I had never made biscuits before.
