Description

These breakfast cinnamon bites are really tasty. You can make them with cream cheese frosting for an even more delicious and divine treat!

This breakfast is great treat to take on the go because it’s portable and not too messy to eat (no fork required)!

Ingredients

  • 1-¼ cup Flour
  • 1 cup Rice Krispie Cereal, Coarsely Crushed
  • ½ cups Sugar Plus 2 1/2 Tablespoons, Divided
  • 2 teaspoons Baking Powder
  • ½ teaspoons Salt
  • ¼ cups Shortening
  • ½ cups Milk
  • 1-½ teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 4 Tablespoons Melted Butter

Preparation

1. Mix flour, crushed cereal, 2 1/2 tablespoons sugar, baking powder and salt in a large bowl.
2. Add shortening and mix in with a fork until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
3. Add milk and stir into the dough.
4. Roll doll into small balls (about 2 dozen)
5. Mix cinnamon and remaining 1/2 cup sugar in a bowl.
6. Drop the balls into melted butter and roll in cinnamon mixture.
7. Place balls onto a greased pan (uses a cookie sheet if you want them to stay round, or for a fun monkey bread look, put in a round pan).
8. Cook for 15 minutes at 425ºF.

Notes:
These taste better cold.
My taste testers liked them better with cream cheese icing.
