Description

Serve with butter, plain or spinach dip.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups Self-Rising Flour
  • ½ cups Sugar
  • 12 ounces, fluid Beer Or Any Carbonated Beverage
  • 2 Tablespoons Butter, Melted

Preparation

Preheat over to 375ºF.

Butter a 9-in loaf pan and set aside. In a large bowl, add flour, sugar and beer and mix well. It will be sticky. Pour into the loaf pan and bake for 55 minutes. For the last 3 minutes of baking, remove from oven and brush the top with melted butter and return to the oven for the remainder of the baking time.

made this bread with hard apple cider- to serve with a spicy soup. was WONDERFULL and so easy!!!!!

made wirh hard appple cider and was great. very easy. mine was a little crumble, like cornbread, but maybe that was we could not wait for it to cool off before eating it :)
