Description

Here is a yummy, easy banana nut bread. Perfect for teacher’s gifts and brunches.

Ingredients

  • 3-½ whole Ripe Bananas
  • 1-½ cup Flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoons Nutmeg
  • 1 stick Unsalted Butter, Room Temperature
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 2 whole Eggs (I Prefer Brown Eggs)
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • ½ cups Sour Cream
  • ¾ cups Chopped Walnuts

Preparation

Set oven to 350ºF and butter your loaf pan. Mash the bananas in a bowl until creamy, but some chunks are left. Set aside.

Whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Set aside.

Beat together butter and sugar with a mixer until creamy, then add eggs one at a time. From this point on, just use a large spoon instead of a mixer. Stir in bananas, vanilla, and sour cream. Then stir in dry ingredients and walnuts.

Pour mixture into buttered loaf pan, put on a baking sheet on the middle rack for about an hour until you can put a knife in and it’s clean when you take it out.

Some people like it plain, some with a little butter, but however you like yours, I hope you like it! Enjoy!
