I agree with an earlier post, it was ok. Banana bread is pretty hard to mess up and this was an interesting version to make it a bit healthier, but I'd rather have a more traditional take on this classic. However, it was nice to try something new.

This turned out great! I used whole wheat white flour as I don't have "bread" flour specifically, and instead of chocolate chips I used just over a half cup of peanut butter chips. Also I used two heaping teaspoons of cinnamon instead of one measured one. I thought it turned out great, nice texture too. I blogged it here: http://mybakingadventure.tumblr.com/post/28780879448/banana-peanut-butter-chip-oatmeal-bread-yes (Sorry, I don't know if I can use html here so I'm posting the whole link.)

Made these muffins with a crumble/streusel topping. Baked them to introduce myself to our new neighbours that were fantastically loud until 3.30am this morning. Thought I would bribe them and ask them to consider their neighbours before my husband nips the problem in the butt his way ;-) The muffins are fantastically moist and light, not too sweet and not too "banana-y" (I don't like cooked bananas). Will make them again.

I have made this many times, today being the most recent. I thought I should add that if you are like me today, and remember that the melted butter is in the microwave as you are loading the pans in the oven, don't despair! They still taste great!

Tried to leave a review because this recipe definitely deserves 5 mittens!!! Oh yummers, we could barely wait 5 minutes after pulling it out of the oven to give this bad boy a taste. I was wondering how it would be considering whole wheat flour usually is tough but not in this case. I also added 2TBS ground flax seed. Thanks for sharing.
