Wanted to try my hand at bread making, but was intimidated by it. Since I found this recipe, I am no longer worried about making bread. This is by far the easiest recipe I have read and understood. I have made this bread three times in one week so far and it rarely makes past the second day. It's a good thing I have AP, Whole wheat, rye and bread flour cus I am going thru a lot of flour. Lol. After ready all the comments and reviews, I have made this bread using only 1/3 cup of sugar. I plan on trying to make it into cinnamon rolls this weekend. If I get to make them i will let all know how it came out.

Hi yall, me again. I love this bread, it's so easy and delicious.
I have one problem. I only have 11 X 5 X 2 3/4 loaf pans, does anyone know what these loafs are? 1 lb or 1 1/4 lb? Does anyone know how to increase the recipe for these pans? Thanks in advance, and Carla thanks for sharing this recipe.

This bread is the most delicious bread I've ever eaten...ever! Since I discovered your recipe two weeks ago, I've made it every two days ever since! We are going through it like crazy...French toast, butter and honey, peanutbutter and jelly sandwiches, and on and on. Divine! And so easy too!

Just moved out of state and can no longer buy the kind of sandwich bread my family loved in our old home (they don't make it here). I decided to give up on store bought bread because everything we've tried is a)expensive and b)nasty tasting. I looked around for a long time to find a good recipe, and chose this one based on it's great reviews. I originally was going to half the recipe, but last minute decided not to and I'm so glad I didn't- we've gone through a whole loaf since I made it, and are going to finish the 2nd one with French toast for dinner tonight! Awesome, thick, chewy and tasty! And cheap :) A little sweet, so I might try cutting the sugar in half next time so it will work better for sandwiches, but we loved it as written as well :)

I don't know if anyone else had this problem but it was not done after 30 minutes at 325F. The next time I did 15 @ 350, then 15 @ 325, then 15 more @ 350. They're a bit crusty on top (but some people like that) but they're cooked all the way through even though you can't knock on the bottom (too soft).

Wow! It worked great but you weren't kidding it's sweet! I'll definitely cut the sugar at least in half next time. But will for sure make this again as it was very simple and very good. Thanks!

I just tried my first slice (still warm, slathered in butter.) I did cut the sugar back to 1/3 cup to avoid it being too sweet. This bread is easy and so yummy!
