Description

I’ve had many guacamole disasters (too much garlic = not good), but finally I’ve found the ultimate guac recipe. Simple, green and good.

Ingredients

  • 4 whole Hass Avocados (or 6 Small Ones)
  • ½ cups Onion, Chopped (about 1/2 Small Onion Or 1/4 Large)
  • 1 clove Garlic, Minced
  • ½ cups Cilantro, Chopped
  • 2 Tablespoons Pico De Gallo (or Chopped Tomato)
  • 1 whole Jalapeno, Minced (optional)
  • 1 whole Lime, Juiced
  • 1 dash Garlic Salt, to taste

Preparation

Add everything except lime and garlic salt to a medium sized bowl. Grab a fork and mash it against the side of the bowl until you have a good mashed consistency, with a few avocado chunks still hanging out. Avocado chunks = goooood.

Now squeeze about 3/4 your lime into the bowl, mix, and taste. If it needs more, add the rest of the juice. (I love lime so I sometimes use more than one. Shh, don’t tell.)

Sprinkle some garlic salt over the top. Just a dusting. Mix well and taste. You don’t want it too salty, but the garlic salt really does bring out the flavors of the avocados, so it is an essential ingredient!

Serve to your ravenous family members with a big ol’ bag of tortilla chips, and dig in!
