Description

What could be better than mushrooms stuffed with bacon and cheese?

Ingredients

  • 1 package White Button Mushrooms, 6 Ounce Package
  • ½ cups Shredded Sharp Cheddar
  • 4 slices Cooked Crumbled Bacon Or Five If You're Me
  • ½ cups Mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon Spicy Brown Mustard

Preparation

*Clean mushrooms with a damp paper towel.

* Remove stems from caps and chop the stems into small pieces.

*Place mushroom caps top side down onto a baking pan. They should look like rows of cups.

*Add remaining ingredients to the mushroom stems and mix well. You may have to add a little more mayo. You want all the ingredients to bind together and look slightly wet.

*Over stuff each of the mushroom caps with the stuffing. Fill it as much as you can. The filling is where it is at! It’s why we are all here!

*Place your pan on a rack about 1/3 of the distance from the broiler.

*Broil for about 10 minutes. Tops should be bubbly and brown and mushrooms should be soft. My oven takes about 10 minutes, yours may vary.

*These things are like lava, yummy lava, when they come out. Allow to cool for a few minutes and then enjoy. You will have to make a second batch for your guests!

**If you are short on time or making a lot of these you can also buy the REAL bacon crumbles instead of cooking a bunch of bacon. You find these with the regular bacon, sausage, lunch meat, etc…Do not use those fake red bacon pretenders! I don’t know what those are and you will surely regret it!**
