Description

Spicy snack crackers. Everybody loves them.

Ingredients

  • 16 ounces, weight Soda Crackers
  • 1-½ cup Oil (Vegetable, Canola, Olive)
  • 2 packages (1 Oz. Packet) Dry Ranch Dressing Mix
  • 2 Tablespoons Red Pepper Flakes (or To Taste)

Preparation

Remove all the crackers from their sleeves, and place in a one gallon-size Ziploc bag. In a bowl, combine oil, ranch derssing mix, and pepper flakes. Pour over the crackers, and turn them over to coat. Then turn again every five minutes for an hour. Remove to a closed container, and let them sit. The longer they sit, the better they get. Prepare to be amazed!

I had to try making these, didn’t have any kind of occasion, they just looked so good. Also didn’t want to make a whole box full so I just used one sleeve of crackers, 1/3 cup oil, 1/2 pkg ranch dressing and 1/2 tbsp. or so red pepper flakes. And so far I think I’ve sampled them half a dozen or so times, but they are resting in a closed container so I can taste them after they’ve ‘matured’ a little. I do know I’m making these the next time I have to bring something to a potluck. Thanks so much for sharing.

Delicious! I used half the amount of red pepper flakes, and they still had a nice kick to them.
