Description

This is a yummy dip that is loved by all who try it. It’s a staple in our house for football Sunday and many of our friends often request that we make it.

Ingredients

  • 16 ounces, weight Can Of Refried Beans
  • 1-¼ ounce, weight Packet Of Taco Seasoning
  • 8 ounces, weight Sour Cream
  • 8 ounces, weight Cream Cheese, Softened
  • 4-½ ounces, weight Can Of Chopped Green Chilies
  • 1 whole Green Pepper, Chopped
  • 1 bunch Scallions, Chopped
  • 8 ounces, weight Can Of Black Olives, Chopped
  • 12 ounces, weight Jar Of Chunky Salsa, Drained Of Liquid
  • 16 ounces, weight Cheddar Cheese, Shredded (or Mexican Blend Cheese)
  • 1 bag Tortilla Chips

Preparation

1. Mix refried beans and taco seasoning with a mixer and spread into the bottom of a 9×12 inch pan.
2. Mix sour cream and softened cream cheese with a mixer and spread over the bean layer.
3. Spoon chopped chilies evenly over the cream cheese/sour cream layer.
4. Sprinkle chopped green pepper, scallions and black olives as your next layer.
5. Add the drained salsa and distrubute evenly over the top layer.
6. Sprinkle with shredded cheese and refrigerate until ready to serve. Or you can immediatley tear into it, as we are often known to do.
7. Serve with tortilla chips (use a sturdy chip like Tostitos Gold or Scoops because the dip is a tad heavy).
