Description

This is the best spinach artichoke dip recipe I have found to date. Enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 2 cloves Minced Garlic
  • 2 Tablespoons Minced Onion
  • ¼ cups Butter
  • ¼ cups Flour
  • 2 cups Heavy Cream
  • ¼ cups Chicken Broth
  • ⅔ cups Romano Cheese, Shredded
  • 2 teaspoons Lemon Juice
  • ½ teaspoons Hot Sauce (Tabasco)
  • ½ teaspoons Salt
  • ¼ cups Sour Cream
  • 2 boxes 10 Oz, Frozen, Chopped Spinach, Thawed And Squeezed Dry
  • 1 can 14 Oz, Drained, Coarsely Chopped Artichoke Hearts
  • ½ cups White Cheddar Cheese, Shredded

Preparation

In a 2-quart saucepan over medium heat, saute garlic and onion in butter until golden, about 3-5 minutes. Stir in flour and cook for one minute. Slowly whisk in cream and broth and continue cooking until boiling. Once boiling, stir in Romano cheese, lemon juice, hot sauce and salt until cheese is melted. Remove from heat and allow to cool for 5 minutes. Stir sour cream into mixture then fold in dry spinach and artichoke hearts.

Fold the mixture into a microwave safe serving dish, or into several serving size dishes. Sprinkle Cheddar cheese evenly on top. he dish may be refrigerated at this point until ready to serve. Microwave dip on 50% power until the cheese has melted.
