Description

Spicy, salty popcorn drizzled with white chocolate.

Ingredients

  • 3 teaspoons Olive Oil
  • ½ cups Popcorn Kernels
  • 2 Tablespoons Coarse Ground Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Chipotle Chili Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Cayenne Pepper
  • ½ bars (1.5 Oz. Bar) White Chocolate

Preparation

Begin by popping the popcorn. If you’ve never done it on the stovetop, no sweat, it’s easy. Here’s how to do it:

Coat the bottom of a sauce pot with oil and put an even layer of corn kernels on the bottom. Put a lid on, crank the heat to high and let it pop. When the popping becomes slower, take the pot off the heat right away.

Pour the popcorn kernels into a bowl and add the seasonings (salt and spices) to taste. I’ve set out rough measurements, but you could adjust to your liking.

Next, melt the white chocolate over low heat on the stovetop. Drizzle the white chocolate over the popcorn and stir until all the kernels are coated.

Pour popcorn onto a baking pan lined with parchment to set. Drizzle any remaining white chocolate onto the kernels (or lick the bowl, it’s up to you). For a quick set, put the pan in the fridge for 5 minutes.

Serve individual portions in brown paper cones or in a large bowl for sharing. I highly encourage smuggling this into the movie theater on date night.
