Description

This easy pate recipe takes minutes to make, but packs the punch when it comes to flavor. It showcases a true South African ingredient: snoek!

Ingredients

  • 1 pound, 1-⅔ ounces, weight Smoked Snoek Or Any Other Smoked Fish
  • ½ pounds, ⅞ ounces, weight Cream Cheese
  • 1 whole Lemon, Zest And Juice
  • 1 bunch Fresh Parsley Or Dill
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Black Pepper
  • 1 whole Chili, Seeded And Chopped

Preparation

Place all the ingredients in the food processor and blitz until it is a smooth paste. Taste and season accordingly. If the mixture is too dry, add a little milk just to loosen it up. At this stage you can spoon the pâté into ramekins and serve with melba toast or crackers or serve this Pâté as a starter with some crisp lettuce.
