Description

These baked Scotch Eggs are packed with protein and ridiculously delicious! So easy to make at home in under an hour.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound Ground Sausage, Any Flavor You'd Like
  • ½ teaspoons Dried Minced Onion
  • 1 teaspoon Green Onion, Thinly Sliced
  • ¼ teaspoons Salt
  • ½ cups Flour
  • ¾ cups Panko Bread Crumbs
  • 1 whole Egg, Beaten
  • 4 whole Hard Boiled Eggs, Peeled

Preparation

Preheat oven to 400 F.

Start off by combining sausage, minced onion, green onion and salt in a bowl. Mix it together with your hands like a meatloaf, until all the ingredients are evenly distributed. Form into 4 equal-sized patties.

Next, prepare your breading station by getting flour, bread crumbs and beaten egg into 3 separate bowls.

Roll a hard-boiled egg in the flour and place it on one of the sausage patties. Shape the sausage around the egg making sure it’s fully enclosed. Dip your sausage covered egg in the beaten egg wash, then roll in the breadcrumbs and place on a lined baking sheet. Repeat the process with the remaining eggs.

Bake for 35-40 minutes until the sausage is fully cooked. Remove from oven. Let them cool for 5 minutes. Slice in half and serve.
