Description

Easiest and most delicious appetizer EVER! Even the vegetarian in my family couldn’t stop eating them!

Ingredients

  • 3 boxes (15 Cups To A Box) Athena Frozen Phyllo Cups
  • 1 bag (12 Oz. Bag) Pre-Cooked Sausage Crumbles
  • ½ whole Red Pepper, Chopped
  • 8 ounces, fluid Sour Cream
  • 1 teaspoon Red Pepper Flakes (optional)
  • 8 ounces, weight Shredded Cheddar

Preparation

Note: You can use turkey sausage crumbles, or a 16-oz. tube of Jimmy Dean Hot sausage. Works well with any kind of cooked crumbled sausage.

Take phyllo cups out of the freezer and arrange on a baking sheet.

In a separate bowl mix all ingredients. Red pepper flakes are optional if you like a little spice. I like to save a little cheese and sprinkle it on the top. But you don’t have to do that. There may be a little mixture left over. Set that aside to have on a biscuit for breakfast tomorrow.

Fill each phyllo with a mound of the mixture.

Bake in the oven at 350F for 10–15 minutes until gold and bubbly.

Great even reheated the next day, if there’s any left!

Looks and sounds scrumptious. I am always in need of good appetizer recipes and this one just got added to my need to make list. Thanks – bet they are tasty.
