Description

A quick, cheap, easy, and healthy no-cook appetizer that tastes great on anything!

Ingredients

  • 1 can (15 Oz. Can) Chickpeas, Drained And Rinsed
  • 2 cloves Garlic
  • 2 Tablespoons Fresh Lemon Juice
  • ⅓ cups Olive Oil
  • 2 pinches Salt, Black Pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Oregano
  • ⅓ cups Jarred Roasted Red Pepper In Oil

Preparation

Combine all ingredients in a food processor and puree. Serve in a bowl with crackers, pitas and fresh veggies!

Made this tonight with only 3 T oil and since I didn’t have a lemon used the juice of a small lime. I also used a half tsp oregano and half cumin (like tishy mentioned) and it was delightful. First time I made hummus and it was so good. Had the kids try it on romaine, carrots and tortilla and one hated it and the other loved it and kept asking for more!

I thought this recipe was very good. I actually added a little cumin and I really liked the cumin flavor in it.

Made this tonight with only 3 T oil and since I didn’t have a lemon used the juice of a small lime. I also used a half tsp oregano and half cumin (like tishy mentioned) and it was delightful. First time I made hummus and it was so good. Had the kids try it on romaine, carrots and tortilla and one hated it and the other loved it and kept asking for more!
