Description

A great snack for a potluck or a party!

Ingredients

  • 4 cups Oat Bran Cereal, Such As Quaker Oats
  • 1 cup Kashi Go Lean Crunch Cereal Or Other Multi Grain Clusters
  • 1 cup Walnuts Or Pecans Chopped (any Nut Of Your Choice)
  • 1-½ teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 1 stick Butter
  • ¾ cups Honey
  • 1 cup Rasins, Cranberries, Or Cherries -dried

Preparation

Preheat oven to 250 degrees.

Mix the two cereals, nuts and cinnamon in a large bowl.

Place the butter in a small saucepan. Add the honey, warm over medium heat, blending melted butter and honey together until well mixed., about 5 minutes.

Pour honey mixture over cereal mixture, stirring to coat.

Line a cookie sheet or jelly roll pan with parchment paper about 15×10″ in size. Pour mixture onto the parchment paper and spread out evenly in a single layer.

Cook at 250 degrees for 55 minutes, stirring every 10-15 minutes. Add the dried raisins or other dried fruit and return to the oven and cook another 5 minutes.

Remove from the oven and let this cool for about 20 minutes. The snack will get a little crisp from the candy coating. Break pieces if needed and place in a airtight storage container.

This will keep about 1 week.

Variations: Try different spices such as allspice, apple pie spice, or pumpkin pie spices to mix things up!

Enjoy.
