The nice thing about making your own curry paste is that like anything homemade, not only is it far fresher than anything store-bought, but it is also completely customizable. This really makes a difference when it comes to heat level. I consider this recipe as written to be about a “medium” heat level. For “mild” omit the jalapenos, and for “hot” use 3 jalapenos and add 1/2 teaspoon ground cayenne pepper (or to taste).

Quite possibly one of the most delicious things I’ve ever eaten in my entire life. Imagine if you will, plunging your spoon through a crispy layer of caramelized sugar to expose a silky layer of frozen creme brulee ice cream beneath. Oh yea baby, this recipe is worth every single calorie-laden bite. Break out the kitchen torch! Your family and friends are going to flip over this one.

Where do you find Puffcorn? I have looked at several different places. Thanks!

I find it at my local grocery store. There are different brands out there. Keep looking….this stuff is awesome! At least that’s what my teenage children keep telling me. I just made it for my daughter to take to a “Bonding Sleepover” for colorguard…..the bowl you see in the picture came home empty!
When I find different brands I will post them here.

My mom makes a recipe similar to this though hers also has peanut butter. Try adding some the next time you make this, it make this corn irrestible!

Where are you from? I’m here in California and have never seen or heard of puffcorn before. It looks amazing!

Here in KY, we have puffcorn made by Mike Sells. It’s addictive on it’s own. I can only imagine how much more addictive it would be this way!

Oh My Gosh! I can’t wait to try this! When we lived in Cleveland, OH…I used to buy this at a local grocery store and I would eat the entire bag. I cannot find anything like it here but I think I’ve seen the plain puffcorn. I’ll have to look. YUM!

This is one of my favorite recipes at Christmas! I live in MN and we have the Old Dutch Puffcorn, too. I just saw a different brand at my local Cub grocery store this past week, from Frito Lay. Also, Kwik Trip Gas stations has there own brand, I believe.

You’ve just brought back a very delicious childhood memory! I remember having this at a neighbor’s house, but never saw it made anywhere again. If I ever come across Puffcorn, I am making this immediately!
