An easy and delicious appetizer perfect for any occasion!

Ingredients

  • FOR THE WRAPS:
  • 20 whole Pitted Dates
  • 1 package (10 Slices) Prosciutto, Sliced Lengthwise
  • 4 ounces, weight Gorgonzola Cheese
  • Toothpicks
  • FOR THE HONEY BALSAMIC REDUCTION:
  • ¼ cups Balsamic Vinegar
  • 2 Tablespoons Honey
  • 1 pinch Kosher Salt
  • ¼ teaspoons Fresh Ground Black Pepper

Preparation

For the dates:
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Slice each piece of prosciutto in half lengthwise. Cut one side of the dates and stuff with Gorgonzola cheese. Wrap each date in a strip of prosciutto and skewer it with a toothpick. Place on an oven-safe wire rack that is placed on top of a foil lined sheet pan and bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes. Serve with Honey Balsamic Reduction.

For the Honey-Balsamic Reduction:
In a small sauce pan, add vinegar, honey, salt and pepper. Bring to a simmer over medium heat and let bubble while whisking till the liquids reduce by 75 percent (about ten minutes).
