Description

Sweet and savory. Yum!

Ingredients

  • 4 whole Portobello Mushroom Caps
  • ½ cups Balsamic Vinegar
  • 1 Tablespoon Brown Sugar
  • ¼ teaspoons Dried Rosemary
  • ½ Tablespoons Garlic, Crushed
  • 4 slices Provolone Cheese

Preparation

Preheat the broiler. Add all of the ingredients, except for the provolone, into a sealable bag. Marinate in the bag for a minimum of 10 minutes. Next grease a baking dish and pour the contents of the bag into the dish. Broil the mushrooms for about 2-3 minutes per side about four inches from the heat source. Next add one slice of provolone to each mushroom cap (over the stem side) and place back into the broiler. Cook until melted and bubbly (about 1 minute). Remove and serve.

Excellent recipe ! Made them over the weekend they came out great. Used the marinade and also put some crumbled cooked bacon under the cheese. Made some with the provolone and some with blue cheese. Leftovers heated up great in the toaster oven too. Will definately be making again !
