These delightful melt-in-your-mouth appetizers are always a hit. They disappear quickly so make sure you get a couple!
Preheat oven 425ºF. Lightly grease 2 baking sheets, set aside.
In a large saucepan, add water and shortening. Bring to a boil. Add flour at once, stirring vigorously. Cook and stir until mixture forms a ball. Remove from heat. Let cool for about 8-10 minutes.
Add eggs one at a time. Beat well with a wooden spoon after each addition. Stir in pepperoni, cheese, garlic powder and black pepper.
Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto baking sheet about 1 1/2 to 2 inches apart. Bake 15-17 minutes or till puffed and golden.
Makes approximately 45 puffs.
