Description

Perfect to snack on or to accompany your favorite dips.

Ingredients

  • 4 whole Whole Wheat Pita Rounds
  • 2 Tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 2 teaspoons Garlic, Minced
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 1 pinch Black Pepper
  • ¼ cups Parmesan Cheese, Grated

Preparation

Preheat your oven to 350°F.

Cut your pita rounds in half, then into thirds making triangles. Pull the pieces apart so you’ll end up with 6 pieces per half. Lay them on an ungreased cookie sheet in a single layer.

In a small bowl, combine the olive oil, garlic, salt and pepper and stir. You may need to use a spoon to mash some of the garlic, or you can leave the tiny pieces intact for robust flavor. Brush the mixture on each pita triangle and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.

Bake for 8-10 minutes or until lightly brown and toasted.

Serve with your favorite dip, or eat them plain for healthy snacking.

Serves 4.

Yummy. BUT a quicker way to prep is to split the pitas apart so you have 2 full circles per pita. I used scissors. Brush the oil mixture onto the circles and sprinkle with the parm. Stack 3 together and cut in half, then cut the halves into thirds for 6 wedges per pita circle. Saves a lot of time over brushing each wedge. Loved the amount of garlic. These were gone in a flash!

Oh man these are just so good; I baked mine pretty long to get them crunchy!
