Description

This is the traditional Vietnamese dipping sauce. It has a sweet and sour flavor and shredded carrots. Goes wonderfully with Vietnamese fried spring rolls. When refrigerated, it keeps for 2 to 3 weeks.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Very Hot Or Boiling Water
  • ⅓ cups Fish Sauce
  • ⅓ cups Sugar
  • 2 Tablespoons Freshly Squeezed Lime Juice
  • 1 teaspoon Chili Sauce
  • 3 Tablespoons Shredded Carrots

Preparation

In medium bowl, mix all ingredients together except carrots. Mix well to dissolve sugar. Add shredded carrots. Serve as a dipping sauce with fried spring rolls.
