Description

Make a relaxed weekend meal out of nachos. Grab a cold beer and dig in!

Ingredients

  • 3-½ ounces, weight Tortilla Chips, About 30 Round Chips
  • 3-½ ounces, weight Cheddar Cheese, Grated
  • 3-½ ounces, weight Shredded, Fully Cooked Chicken Breast, Optional Ingredient
  • ½ cups Black Beans
  • 2 Tablespoons Diced Red Or White Onion
  • ½ cups Sliced Black Olives
  • ½ whole Avocado, Peeled, Pitted, And Diced
  • ¼ cups Sliced Pickled Jalapeños, More To Taste
  • 1 cup Shredded Lettuce
  • ¼ cups Sour Cream
  • Sliced Green Onion, Chopped Cilantro, For Garnish (optional)
  • ½ cups Fresh Salsa, If Desired

Preparation

Preheat oven to 375 F. Chop or grate ingredients if necessary at this time.

Place tortilla chips on a baking sheet in an even layer, placing them close together but not overlapping.

Top chips in the following order with: cheese, chicken and beans. Bake in the preheated oven for about 4 minutes, or until cheese is melted. Remove from oven.

Top with remaining ingredients: onion, olive, avocado, jalapeno, shredded lettuce and dollops of sour cream. Garnish with green onion and cilantro, if desired. Serve immediately.
