Description

These little firecrackers will light up any party! This recipe will “FLIP” you out! Magic, for sure!

Ingredients

  • 1 box (16 Oz. Box) Saltine White Or Wheat Crackers
  • 1 package (1 Oz. Packet) Hidden Valley Ranch Dressing Mix
  • 1-½ cup Canola Oil
  • 2 teaspoons Garlic Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Cayenne Pepper
  • 2 Tablespoons Dried Red Pepper Flakes

Preparation

Start with a box of saltines. Line them up in rows in a 9×13 Tupperware or Rubbermaid container. Whisk all remaining ingredients together in a bowl. Pour evenly over crackers. Yes, pour it over the crackers! Cover tightly with the lid and flip. Yes, I said FLIP! Do this for half an hour, flipping every 5 minutes.

Open and serve immediately or store in the same container covered for up to a week. No, the are not soggy! They are magically dry and oh so yummy! Serve them with cheese, soups, or even brie. I like them just by themselves with a big fat glass of Dr. Pepper.

The related blog post link will show you step-by-step pictures if you don’t believe me. Magic!

Wow! How they don’t get soggy is beyond me. Everyone’s right…addicting. And best with an ice cold Coke.

These are highly addicting. We ate almost two sleeves of crackers without even realizing it!

Addicting is correct!!! I have this same recipe but use fat free crackers and only 1 Cup of light extra virgin olive oil. We don’t even line them up as neatly as your blog shows! Just put them in a bowl with a lid (good ol’ tupperware) and flip every15 minutes for 1 hr.

Great recipe…a little scary to admit how much oil is in the mix but they are DELICIOUS. And crunchy. And addicting.
