Description

This hearty hummus is quick and easy to make. The lemon-lime juice pairs well with the cilantro, and the garlic and olives give it a kick!

Ingredients

  • 1 can (15 Oz. Can) Garbanzo Beans, Drained And Rinsed
  • 2 cloves Garlic, Coarsely Chopped
  • ½ teaspoons Salt
  • ¼ teaspoons Pepper
  • 3 Tablespoons Tahini
  • 1 Tablespoon Lemon Juice
  • 2 Tablespoons Lime Juice
  • 1 Tablespoon Olive Juice
  • 2 Tablespoons Green Olives, Chopped
  • 6 dashes Hot Sauce (we Use Frank's)
  • ½ cups Fresh Cilantro, Coarsely Chopped
  • 1 Tablespoon Olive Oil

Preparation

Add all of the ingredients to a food processor and blend until creamy and delicious. You can add more salt, oil and hot sauce to taste.

This was really good. I loved the addition of the green olives! I will probably add more lemon juice next time.

This was evidently fantastic! I only got a small taste because my husband and 3 teenagers had the bowl cleaned out before I got to it! I also used dried chickpeas prepared in the crock-pot and they worked out great!

YES! This is a fantastic recipe! I must admit, I am not a Hummus connoisseur by any means (in fact, I rarely had it and had never made it before)…but one taste of this and I am hooked! LOVE it!
I made the recipe exactly as written, but used dried chickpeas (slow-cooked). This was for my son’s birthday party…so I eagerly waited to see what people thought – and everybody was raving about it…the bowl scraped clean!
Thanks for the great recipe – I love the olive flavor blended with cilantro…yum!
