Description

These treats, while almost vintagy and prosaic in their ingredients, are so flavorful, crisp and delightful, and whoever tries one is always instantly transformed.

Ingredients

  • 1 package Club Crackers
  • 1 pound Thin Sliced Bacon (or More Depending On Number Of Crackers)
  • Grated Parmesan Cheese
  • Optional Alternative: Brown Sugar Instead Of Parmesan Cheese

Preparation

Lay crackers (as many as you want) face up on a cookie sheet.

Scoop about 1 teaspoon of grated Parmesan cheese onto each cracker. Cut your package of bacon in half (or cut pieces individually) and carefully, so the cheese doesn’t fall off, wrap each cheese covered cracker in one half piece of bacon, completely covering the cracker. It should fit snugly around the cracker.

Place the bacon wrapped crackers onto a baking sheet that has a rack on it.

Place in a 250-degree oven for about 2 hours.

This might be a dumb question but you can serve these at room temp, right? They don’t HAVE to be warm??

I made these yesterday… bloody amazing! Now… I’m not going to pretend they are healthy… and as long as you go in knowing that… these are to die for! I took them out of the oven… had them sitting on the counter cooling…and my 6 yr old boy, was in the kitchen stealing them… I could hear..ouch ouchie… cause they we’re still hot..he ate a tonne! Oh and then asked for some for breakfast today! Will be making these again for sure!

These were good, but a little dry. I would cook them for a little shorter time next time. But I will probably make them again.

I have followed you for a long time and love your recipes! But…..I tried this one over the weekend, followed it to a T, they were awful! My son and I broke them up to small pieces for dog treats, I kid you not! I was so disappointed. I purchased high quality ingredients, I have no idea what went wrong. They smelled great, yet the texture was awful! Any suggestions? We watched you show and did just as you.????? How bad could crackers, parmesan cheese and bacon be? Bad from my kitchen!

Made these for my god-daughter’s bridal shower and they were a huge hit. So easy and so delicious. Would make again for sure.
