Served cold. They are a great combination of sweet ham and salty hearts of palm. I’ve never seen a recipe for them, but my Aunt makes them every Christmas and they are gone before they’re put on a plate!
Spread cream cheese on the circle (or oval) of ham, thickly. Place one heart of palm (they are log-shaped) on the ham. Roll up. Cut off end pieces and give to whatever mooch is standing over your shoulder. Then slice the roll (a serrated knife works best) into 1-inch (or whatever suits your fancy) slices. Place on a plate and refrigerate. Repeat until done with the can of hearts of palm.
Note: the amount of ham always changes due to thickness of cut, how thick the hearts of palm are, etc. It’s an estimate-type-of-thing!
